Temple- a preface
Temples would be the houses of worship in which the
existence-pressure (chaitanya) of God prevails forever. Temple may be the
permanent abode of the Ultimate God who's formless, and shapeless. It's a
complicated job for ordinary individuals to think of the appearance and type of
master God within their minds. This is actually the primary reason which
brought the Puranic Rishis to create and attribute certain forms and bhavas to
God. Therefore, temples are built at different places using the images and
statues of countless deities. Indian doctrinal theory strives to demonstrate
the glory and power God is revealed through five forms. These five forms are
nobility (param), structure (vyuham), strength (vibhavam), worship (archa),
Supreme Soul (antharyami). From these, Archa (worship) may be the only ‘bhava’
of God which may be easily relished and recognized by ordinary people. Despite
the fact that, Karma yoga (which needs to be refrained from desiring any
reward), and Njanayoga are inclined to provide salvation, it is not easy to
have an ordinary man to complete. To be able to rectify this issue, temples are
built using the idols of demigods and deities. The Puranic preceptors
elucidates the `Parampurusha pooja’ with various forms is related to Vishnu,
Shiva, Shankaranarayana, Durga, Subramanya, Ganapati, and Shastavu. The entire
process of invoking the divine power God in to the idols in temples could be
when compared to blowing of air having a fan and lighting fire within an altar.
Despite the fact that one will discover countless types of deities, the best
power resides within the Universal Soul.
